This Exists: New Georgia Company Exports Chopsticks To China

Video

A good news economic story out of Georgia today as it turns out people in China are eating with chopsticks that are made in America. Donald Trump, a persistent critic of China and their economic policies, should take note as China is apparently eager to boost America’s exports as they load up on these American-made chopsticks.

Not only is the new Georgia company great for international trade, but it also has significantly benefited the local economy as the company recently provided residents of Georgia with fifty new jobs. And one might guess the future seems bright for this company, since rumor has it China has a lot of people.

    Georgia… that’s a non-union state… right?

My first instinct is that obviously the fellow has found a plentiful supply of trees, so it makes sense to manufacture at the source and to ship packable, processed chopsticks, rather than raw trees.

Otherwise, I did hear a story on NPR the other afternoon about Georgia pecans getting introduced to the Chinese and Indian markets, where they have potential to be great sellers. One of the people quoted is from the “National Pecan Growers Association” which is still in its infancy as a group, while all of the farmers quoted are from Georgia and Atlanta is home to the Pecan Shellers Association.

My guess based on the above clip, the pecan story from NPR and a glance at their website, the International Trade Services division of the Georgia Department of Economic Development has been doing laudable work outreaching to Asia and now that they’re experiencing some good success, GDEcD’s press office is using the stories to promote their state.

    Good job, all around.

To be fair we should coat the chopsticks in lead paint.

Actually non-union states are doing quite well in manufacturing. Being is trying to create job and keep manufacturing in America…. but Obama stopped them from moving to a non-union state. So no jobs.

How clever.  We get the Chinese addicted to our chopsticks so their own people lose the ability to make their own chopsticks.  Then we starve them to death by taking their chopsticks away, just like oil!   And they dare to call us “Capitalist, running dog lackey, Americans.”  Hah, well show those Chinamen…

That’s what I’m talkin’ bout Georgia! We keep this up and we may be able to pull ourselves out of this recession without the help of DC politicians.

Georgia is a ‘right-to-work’ state. We do have unions, but workers are not required to join or participate in them.

You think the GA chopsticks company is great.  Well think again!  All these broadcastings, headlines and talk about this company.  You have got to live it to confirm it.  Unfortunately, I have, and all other employees of chopsticks agree.  By working with the head people of chopsticks I can honestly say they throught we were slaves.  Thinking there’s no jobs here and the employees will want to keep their little job here SO WE CAN BAISICALLY DO WHAT WE WANT AND THEL’LL ABSORB IT.
