CNN’s Tapper: Hillary Would Get More Coverage if She Agreed to More Interviews
CNN’s Jake Tapper talked about the media’s Donald Trump coverage with Jimmy Kimmel last night and said Hillary Clinton would get a lot of coverage too if she agreed to do more interviews.
Kimmel asked Tapper about the cyclical nature of Trump being the big story; whether the media covers him because he’s the big story or whether he’s the big story because the media covers him so much.
Tapper admitted that doesn’t quite have an easy answer, but pointed out that Trump gets a lot of press coverage not just because of his bombast, but because he agrees to lots of interviews. And if candidates like Clinton did that more, he added, they would get a lot of coverage too.
Clinton has only done a select few national interviews since announcing her 2016 candidacy, one of which was with CNN.
