After Feud, Mark Cuban is Cautiously Optimistic About Trump: ‘I Hope He’s a Superstar’
After a months-long contentious feud with Donald Trump, billionaire Mark Cuban is now expressing a degree of cautious optimism about the President-elect.
Speaking with CNBC Wednesday in adavnce of his testimony before the Senate about the proposed AT&T-Time Warner merger, the Dallas Mavericks owner likened Trump to a “No. 1 draft pick.”
“He’s who we put our hopes and dreams with, and we’re gonna believe in him. Right now, it’s a little bit easier because we haven’t played a game yet,” Cuban said.
Cuban sidestepped a question about a meeting with Trump’s chief strategist Steve Bannon (“That’s not a topic for now,”) before adding about Trump:
“I hope he’s a superstar.”
