Chaffetz on Reports Trump Asked Comey to Drop Flynn Investigation: ‘I Have My Subpoena Pen Ready’
The Chairman of the House Oversight Committee has spoken!
Jason Chaffetz issued a response to reports that Donald Trump asked James Comey to drop his investigation into Mike Flynn, who was let go from his position as National Security Advisor amid reports of possible Russian ties.
First, here’s what Chaffetz himself just tweeted:
.@GOPoversight is going to get the Comey memo, if it exists. I need to see it sooner rather than later. I have my subpoena pen ready.

Reporters are backing him up, saying he indicated a desire to see the memo Comey allegedly wrote about the request from Trump.
CHAFFETZ: “On the surface that seems like an extraordinary use of influence to try to shutdown an investigation being done by the FBI”
