Lindsey Graham Takes Shot at Tom Cotton: He’s Becoming ‘The Steve King of the Senate’

As a shutdown looms, the frustrations on Capitol Hill continue to grow, and Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) publicly called out a GOP colleague while talking about immigration:

“We’re not going to end family immigration for DACA. The Tom Cotton (R-AR) approach has no viability here,” Graham told MSNBC’s Garrett Haake. “You know, he’s become sort of the Steve King of the Senate. I like Tom. On immigration, he’s putting something on the table that there’s just no market for in phase one.”

King has become one of the more infamous voices in the immigration debate in recent years, like when he said, “For everyone who’s a valedictorian, there’s another 100 out there that weigh 130 pounds and they’ve got calves the size of cantaloupes because they’re hauling 75 pounds of marijuana across the desert.”

Last year he was condemned by members of his own party for his white nationalist tweet and he tweeted a picture of a celebratory beer over the news of a DREAMer being deported last April.

Cotton responded in a brief statement to Graham’s comment:
