Last night, Vox’s deputy editor, Emmett Rensin, released a series of tweets in response to the violence seen outside of a Donald Trump rally in California. In that series, he wrote that if Trump comes to someone’s town, they should riot.
Earlier today, there was much discussion surrounding founder Ezra Klein keeping his mouth shut about the entire Twitter incident, but now, that silence has been broken.
Vox put out a statement today that says that while they are known for often taking a different stance than the “institutional positions,” they do not condone violence. As a result, Rensin has been suspended.
