WATCH LIVE: Sarah Huckabee Sanders Returns From Olympics For Monday Press Briefing
Sarah Huckabee Sanders is back from her trip to the Olympics in South Korea and will brief the White House press corps on Monday.
Sanders accompanied Ivanka Trump as part of the U.S. delegation which attended the closing ceremony of the 2018 Games. But not all of the athletes appreciated their presence. Skier Gus Kenworthy took a swipe at Ivanka on Twitter.
“Honestly, tf is she even doing here,” the American skier wrote.
In her absence, things got no quieter on the home front. The debate about guns rages on in the wake of the Parkland, FL school shooting. President Donald Trump met with the nation’s governors on Monday morning, and challenged their positions on the National Rifle Association.
“Half of you are so afraid of the NRA,” Trump said. “There’s nothing to be afraid of. And you know what? If they’re not with you, we have to fight ’em every once in a while. That’s okay.”
Sanders also figures to take questions on the guilty plea by former advisor Rick Gates — who will now cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller‘s probe.
The briefing is slated to begin at 3:00 p.m. ET Monday. Watch above, via The White House.
