WATCH LIVE: Trump Delivers Speech at Law Enforcement Conference in Kansas City

President Donald Trump is in Kansas City, MO today to deliver remarks for the 2018 Project Safe Neighborhoods National Conference. The speech is expected to begin at 12:50 p.m. ET.

Trump will most likely use the event to speak to police officers and prosecutors about how his administration is working with local law enforcement to tackle gun crime, drug crime and gang activity. The president’s address will be accompanied by speeches from Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein

Judging by his Twitter feed this morning, if Trump ever goes off track, there’s a good chance he’ll use this event to blast Robert Mueller’s investigation again. The special counsel is about to release a number of significant memos in the cases of Michael Cohen and Paul Manafort, so the president has been tearing the “witch hunt” apart and accusing Mueller of conflict of interest again. The president claims his approval ratings would be much higher if he didn’t have this hanging over him.

Trump might also speak about the news that he’s nominating Bill Barr and Heather Nauert for the respective positions of Attorney General and Ambassador to the United Nations.
