President Donald Trump will be in Grand Rapids, Michigan to tout his accomplishments and plans for the 2020 presidential election. The rally is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. ET.
While it’s likely Trump will talk about the economy, he’s sure to use this rally as a victory lap in light of the available conclusions from Robert Mueller‘s investigation. While critics are demanding the release of Mueller’s complete report, the summary from Attorney General Bill Barr said the special counsel found insufficient evidence Trump and his team conspired with the Russians. It also cleared the president of obstruction charges.
As such, its quite probable Trump will once again claim he’s been fully vindicated on both fronts.
Since Trump re-ignited his fight against the Affordable Care Act in the last few days, he could use the rally to see how his base feels about a renewed effort to strike down Obamacare. The Trump Administration has struggled multiple times with their past efforts on health care, and the president’s renewed interest is raising questions about what kind of plan he has and whether this is the right time for this fight.
