Ex-NFL Coach (and Trump Backer) Rex Ryan is ‘Pissed Off’ at President’s NFL Comments

President Donald Trump’s continued attacks on NFL players and the league itself over athletes kneeling during the national anthem to protest racial injustice has now started to cause supporters of his to criticize the president.

With players kneeling en masse this morning prior to the start of the Baltimore Ravens – Jacksonville Jaguars game, and Trump beginning the day by doubling down on his assaults and pushing for an NFL boycott, ex-Buffalo Bills coach and current ESPN analyst Rex Ryan tore into the man he campaigned for just last year.

“Let me tell you, I’m pissed off, I’ll be honest with you,” Ryan exclaimed. “I supported Donald Trump. And I sat back when he asked me to introduce him at a rally in Buffalo — I did that.”

He then talked about how proud he is of NFL players and didn’t appreciate Trump calling them sons of bitches.

“It’s appalling to me and I’m sure it is appalling to almost any citizen in our country,” he noted. “Calling our players SOBs and all that kind of stuff — that’s not the men that I know. The men that I know in the locker room I’m proud of. I’m proud to be associated with those people.”
