Ingraham Pans WHCD: Obama’s Media ‘Lapdogs’ Have Nothing to Celebrate
Laura Ingraham, filling in for Bill O’Reilly on Monday, went after the media for acting all “buddy-buddy” with politicians at the White House Correspondents Dinner, in a prime example of how the press corps has been “lapdogs, not attack dogs” for the White House since President Obama took office.
Ingraham said the WHCD parties have become “overcrowded, overhyped, and now they should be over with.” But more importantly, she asked what exactly they’re celebrating, when the country’s in decline and no one outside of Fox News is asking the White House about issues like Benghazi and the IRS.
She slammed Obama’s media “cheerleaders” and suggested the president would have benefitted from a more aggressive press instead of being insulated by a media “in party mode, drunk on its abiding love for the Obamas.”
