Today is apparently Take Your Parents to Work Day. So MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle brought her mother, Louise Ruhle, to the set and gave her some airtime to deliver a message to the President of the United States.
The MSNBC host noted that Donald Trump won with “suburban, white, women voters” in the election last year, and her mom was one of them.
“Mom, you watch our show hopefully every day, President Trump watches a lot of cable news,” Stephanie Ruhle stated. “What’s your message to him?”
The elder Ruhle then unleashed on Trump:
“I did vote for you. I am disappointed in the job you’re doing. I know you didn’t prepare. You weren’t ready for all the things that come down your way. But please, work a little bit harder. Listen to all the women around you and do a better job. There’s always tomorrow.”
Not sure how likely it is that Trump heard Louise’s message today. As the president has noted many times recently, he thinks pretty much any cable or broadcast news outlet outside of Fox News is “fake news.” And he’s really taken aim at MSNBC and NBC News of late.
