The Daily Show covered tonight’s midterms by checking in the campaign headquarters of the biggest winner of them all: money. Yes, Jon Stewart checked in on Jason Jones, who was at the campaign headquarters for money, and Samantha Bee, who was at the HQ for tonight’s big loser: ideas.
Jones said the dark money was having all kinds of fun, doing “whatever the fuck it wanted,” and got emotional talking about how money has made big wins after being discriminated against for years.
Bee, meanwhile, bemoaned how ideas “certainly didn’t show up to any debates,” while Jones partied with surprise guest (and former Daily Show correspondent) Rob Riggle playing the role of money, happily shouting, “Who doesn’t equal free speech now, bitches?!”
