Trump on Whether He Regrets Claiming Ted Cruz’s Father Helped Kill JFK: ‘I Don’t Regret Anything’

Donald Trump has no regrets for baselessly suggesting that Senator Ted Cruz‘s (R-TX) father was somehow complicit in the assassination of a president.

As Trump heads down to Texas to campaign on behalf of his one-time bitter rival, he insisted that he and Cruz are on good terms when he spoke to reporters. Trump said he calls the senator “Beautiful Ted” and not “Lyin’ Ted” like he used to, and at one point, the president was asked if he has any second thoughts about pushing an evidence-free claim in 2016 that Rafael Cruz was somehow involved in John F. Kennedy‘s murder.

Apparently, the ends justify the means here.

“I don’t regret anything honestly, it all worked out very nicely.”
