Watch: Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel Do EXACT Same Mitt Romney Twinkie Joke

Former future president and current Utah Senator Mitt Romney created a stir Tuesday with an unusual birthday observance, and spawned an identical pair of jokes from late night hosts Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel.

On Tuesday night’s respective editions of CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, each host pegged a bit to Romney’s birthday celebration, which consisted of a cake made of Twinkies delivered to his Senate office.

They each played a clip of Romney, who (read no further to avoid spoilers) begins to pick each candle off the cake and blow them out individually, in turn.

Colbert noted the fittingness of the cake by joking “Just like Twinkies, Mitt Romney doesn’t age, and he’s even whiter on the inside,” and mocked Romney’s candle technique by declaring “He’s a skrull! There’s no way. Everything he does is like an alien googled ‘How to do a normal.'”

Similarly, Kimmel described the candle bit as being “like an alien to our planet,” and went on to add “Look, Twinkies really are the perfect Mitt Romney snack. White on the outside, even whiter on the inside.

Great minds think alike, and fools seldom differ. We report, you decide.
