Judge Napolitano: Mueller Knows Trump Tweets Are a ‘Treasure Trove’

A short time ago, The New York Times reported that special counsel Robert Mueller is looking into President Donald Trump‘s tweets blasting Attorney General Jeff Sessions and former FBI Director James Comey to determine whether they constitute obstruction.

Appearing as the #OneLuckyGuy Thursday on Outnumbered, Judge Andrew Napolitano is uncertain of that. But what he does believe is that Mueller will make some serious hay from those 280-character dispatches.

“Bob Mueller knows that those tweets are a treasure trove, and a window into Donald Trump’s thinking,” Napolitano said.

Napolitano went on to say he believes that the tweets could help prove that Trump committed a crime.

“Did the president send messages to people of threats, or rewards, via his tweets? People who he knew or expected would be interviewed by Bob Mueller?” Napolitano said. “And if he did, was he engaging in witness tampering?”

He added, “Do those messages contain a threat or a reward? If they do, that could be witness tampering.”
