Why is John King baffled by Glenn Beck? Is it because Beck has more viewers than any program on CNN’s roster? John King ought to bring in a Shepherd Smith, who broadcasts during King’s time slot, expert to figure why Smith continuously leaves him in the dust when it comes to ratings.

Between King and Leibovich, they should have have figured out that Glenn Beck is Paul Harvey on steroids. Beck gives us the rest of the story and connects the dots and injects history into it.

Martel writes Leibovich hasn’t figured out where Beck comes from. I’m sure Beck wants his viewers to come to that same conclusion. He does say he gives his viewers HIS facts, but leaves it up to the viewer to do some fact checking on their own. He even says that on his show.

I like King too, and I am glad the Mediaite staff are starting to notice him. If I find myself cruising through the cable news stations at six central time, it’s always a toss up to watch King or Shep, whom I also enjoy.
