Bernie Sanders Makes Nice: ‘On Her Worst Day’ Hillary is ‘100 Times Better’ Than Any Republican
The roiling feud between Democratic presidential candidate and independent Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders and an imaginary Hillary Clinton who called him “not qualified to be president” came to a possible end Thursday night on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers. When host Seth Meyers asked Sanders if he regretted calling Hillary Clinton unqualified, Sanders stuck to his story that he was only responding in kind, although Meyers noted that Hillary actually didn’t call him that, but then Sanders said he hoped the campaign could return to the issues:
Later in the interview, though, Meyers attempted to button the whole thing down by asking Sanders if he could support Hillary if she were the eventual nominee, and Bernie was more definitive:
On her worst day, Hillary Clinton is a hundred times better than any of the Republicans.
Since Hillary Clinton has shown no sign of trying to escalate this feud, that should end it, but it unfortunately won’t keep Bernie Sanders out of Republican campaign ads should Hillary be the nominee, or un-ring the bell that will still echo in the minds of Bernie Sanders supporters come Election Day.
