Bill O’Reilly Forgets He’s ‘Doing It Live’

OBAMA_OSAMA Another Fox Newser made the Obama/Osama mistake last night – their top host, Bill O’Reilly.

But O’Reilly didn’t bother to correct it at the time – because he forgot his show was live last night. Ouch.

Spud over at InsideCableNews caught the mistake last night, made during O’Reilly’s live O’Reilly Factor show at 9pmET, following Pres. Obama’s address. Normally, O’Reilly pre-tapes his show a couple hours before 8pmET, but last night he was, to paraphrase one of his most infamous moments, ‘doing it live.’

While teasing Rep. Maurice Hinchey‘s recent remarks about Pres. Bush letting Osama bin Laden escape, on purpose, O’Reilly said:

Pinheads and patriots, on deck, tonight starring a Congressman who says, you’re never going to believe it, Pres. Bush allowed Obam…uh…Osama…I’m going to have to cut that again.

Sorry Bill, no you’re not.

Anyway… Oops! After a whole segment bouncing between Osama and Obama, a slip of the tongue which he caught before it came all the way out of his mouth. HA! Moving along…

But wait… here comes the haters… simply to hate. Expect rationality to leave in 3…2…1… here they come…

Sorry to disappoint ImNotBlue, but the Obama/Osama slip was an honest mistake by O’Reilly that he corrected.

As far as the actual story, well, O’Reilly is a pinhead. The story he was happily dismissing is actually documented by DOD. However, as I keep trying to say, it is O’reilly’s show and he gets to say whatever he wants. I get to change the channel to a South Park marathon. That is how freedom works.

Just about everyone should get a pass on that snafu after Ted Kennedy butchered those two names in his speech. I felt badly for both of them.

As an aside, what happened to the Matthews calling West Point an enemy camp story? It was here just a few minutes ago. Do I smell bias? If this story about O’Reilly’s honest slip of the tongue stays, then why has Matthews’ intentional insult to our military gone?

Its hard for me to separate Osama and Obama also! I think the media has done that alot on both sides so this is the story that needs to be a headline… Old News!
I say we use Obama’s middle name more!

Shouldn’t you be out stalking? Your comment (while completely nonsensical) is almost a REAL comment, not a stalking job of TfT. What gives? Lost that loving feeling?

Oh, and if this means O’Reilly is a “bad performer,” what does that say about Kennedy, Matthews, and all the others who have made the same mistake and NOT caught themselves?

My point… ImNotBlue…
is that because O’Reilly tapes the segments for his show… the viewer normally doesn’t get to see his gaffes.
The Lord knows Mr. O’Reilly is perfect.
Try not to be so obtuse.
