He’s Indian-born, yale and harvard educated PhD. He has been very insightful (on his previous show) about how corruption in Iraq, Afghanistan and other developing nations is the root of the security issues. He’s very pro-capitalism, and very much a Reaganite. He’s like Krauthammer. Brilliant even when you disagree with him.

For the moderates out there, Zakaria understands how corruption at the UN and in many economies is the root poverty. I don’t watch his CNN show, but I did watch his last one and he was one of the few people to recognize that the corruption in Iraq and Afghanistan caused the mismanagement of the basics like electricity, security, etc. Corruption leads to instability, leads to violence.
