Joe Scarborough Labels Mika Brzezinski A ‘Food Nazi’ After Twinkies Argument

VIDEO

Things on Morning Joe got a little heated Thursday morning during a discussion about Hostess Brands — the maker of Twinkies — filing for bankruptcy.

“The good news,” host Mika Brzezinski read, “is the company will continue to produce Twinkies.”

She then caught herself. “What is the good news? I’m not sure who wanted to editorialize in that script. I’m not sure that’s good news.”

Joe Scarborough, a defender of the tasty treat, then pleaded with viewers to, “go out to a convenience store right now and buy as many Twinkies as you possibly can.”

“…and buy yourself a plastic bag of poison,” Brzezinski interrupted.

Rev Al Sharpton, a guest on the show, added, “Make sure ObamaCare is there to take care of your diabetes…”

Scarborough described the Twinkie as “American exceptionalism,” and agreed that we landed on Omaha Beach, “for the right for me to eat a Twinkie.”

“I don’t need food Nazi Mika Brzezinski — and by the way, what is that? A communist, Chinese name, ‘Brzezinski’? I don’t need the red army kicking down my door, going into my cupboard, and telling me what I can eat.”

“Why don’t you have ten today?” Brzezinski challenged.

Long after civilization is gone, Twinkies, cockroaches and Cher will be here.

    You forgot Dick Clark.

I didn’t know Twinkies would argue if you heated them.
    Fascinating.
    This could replace the interwebs.

  • The Real Royal Emperor

As you know, we deep fat fry almost any food item in Texas, and Twinkies make a terrible racket when you toss them in heated grease.

You post far too many articles about The Joe and Mika Show! She preens and poses for the camera. She seems to utter whatever is murmured in her ear by the producer.

Joe prefixes most remarks with As I Said Before/a year ago, To Willie, When having a conversation—insert name of famous politician, movie star or other talking head here,__________________.

They do an hour or so and then start repeating segments. boring!

Now in the name of unbiased ‘journalism’ they ban Pt Buchanan? The one authentic person on Msnbc. Oh, I think I just answered my own Question.

This show’s schtick is stale! (Though Mika is still really hot.)

“The bad news,” host Mika Brzezinski is a twinkie.
    mostly artificial ingredients

Yes. Somewhat like the noise Bubble & Squeak makes.

It is. I used to think MSNBC was going for a kind of screwball comedy motif in their interplay, Mika as Lombard, Joe the (albeit Twinkie-fed and inelegant) William Powell. These days, it’s more like some bad indie flick dwelling morosely on a dysfunctional relationship. A ‘Leaving Las Vegas’ remake, maybe, but in a bleak trailer trash setting this time.

First, Mika, whose shallowness argues for a vengeful communism against the privileged classes. She presumably grew up in a home in which learning, culture and intellectual discrimination were high standards yet she has no backbone and yammers away daily, weakly reciting MSM memes so full of holes and leaks that even the ranting megalomaniac Joe can easily sink them.

As for Joe… When the alien mothership lands and the head E. T., after monitoring our political culture by watching ‘Morning Joe,’ goes on Piers Morgan, he’ll say (I imagine him sounding like Andrew Sullivan), “Well, it seems you American blokes had it rather vastly better in the 1990s, when this Bill Clinton was your president and your Congress was apparently ruled by this Prime Minister fellow, Joe Scarborough, and…”

Either Joe is losing it or he is finally letting what he thinks about the Brzezinskis. Ahh poor Mika, hey Joe, why don’t you tell her father what you think of him instead of harassing his lovely daughter.

Joe is a phony, he encourages others to get as many of those stuff, but is he doing the same. Omaha beach has nothing to do with his ‘Twinkles’.

As Queen Leftist Michelle has shown with her own eating habits, the focus always must be, ‘Do what I say, not what I do.”

Leftists are incessantly preachy, in a hypocritical sort of way.

Mika might want to try reading the occasional book with a challenging text once in while even if at the expense of her exercise regime, but if you don’t think she looks ultra do as I do when it comes to fitness, you need your eyes examined.

Then, the E.T. tilts his head quizzically and asks Piers, “So, why after all did this powerful Prime Minister fellow decide to become a cable television host instead of ruling the nation as he had in the 1990s but as President this time? He’s never to my knowledge addressed this on his show, although he speaks often of his gift of prophecy from that time, and…”

As a woman, aged 40, possibly due to age, divorce, children,
family and other reasons, I do not believe in the idea of “fall in love
again”. But my friend introduced me to a fantastic website,

RichFlirt.org…where I not only found a rich “him”, but
also lived a better life. So try this site, never be alone any more, and

Joe and Mika share a special Nazi bond, in a Max Mosely kind of way.

As far as I know, Mika has never killed an intern.

Could you ever really be sure though that all the eye rolling was ecstacy and not contempt ?

As opposed to being just a plan old fashioned Nazi, like Joe.

What’s surprising about Mika is that she graduated with a degree in English from one of the best schools in the country (Smith, I believe) and yet where are her educated references to art, literature or history? I’ve never heard her make a single reference to any novel, play or poem. Perhaps she wants to avoid sounding pretentious or pseudo-intellectual, but on the other hand she doesn’t seem to mind coming off as a scold or snob. I got my degree in English, and during the course of my studies, I read thousands of novels, poems, plays, essays etc. And when discussing American politics, history, or any number of cultural touchstones, I have a hard time not referring back to the ideas I’ve been exposed to over the years. I guess what I’m saying is that Mika is surprisingly shallow.

Yep. Hey, Chris Matthews doesn’t hesitate to parade his learning, his obvious love of American political history, of great, defining American films and novels.

And Chris, in my view, has forgotten more about practical politics than a few of his fellow MSNBC hosts ever knew.

As for Mika, I sometimes suspect emotional damage. Her father strikes me as an imperious, withholding type, one who may have thought her (and every one else, for that matter) as unworthy, not up to his standard.

In that same vein, I vaguely remember reading that one of her brothers went very conservative and the other became a true liberal, and that makes me wonder if her silly centrism isn’t a result of desperately trying to keep the peace in her family.

Hey, btw, great screen name, Neetch. Great. In honor of it, I think I’ll watch
“La guerre est finie” later. Not that it has much of anything to do with Nietzsche but just somehow “feels right.”

On MSNBC…Mika is but a girl among boys….a token female who often shrinks into the background as the boys discuss the size of their penises and such.
It’s OK, though….nobody of note is watching them.

I agree with Sharpton who sat there and shook his head back and forth over this foolish “conversation” …. really?  Solders peed on dead people for goodness sake.  There are more important issues to analyze than the questionable value of a Twinkie.
