Dick Cheney On Obama And Bin Laden Kill: ‘I Give Him High Marks’

 

The immediate politicization of the capture and killing of Osama bin Laden has been a fascinating political narrative to track for a variety of reasons, not least of which is that the reactions have not fallen along traditional political lines. Take for example former Vice President Dick Cheney, who has been a pretty vocal critic on Barack Obama‘s handling of the so-called “war on terror.” Today, while appearing on Fox News Sunday, Cheney praised Obama’s decision to send in the Navy SEAL Team 6.

When asked for his thoughts on the decision to send in a commando unit instead of using predator drones by host Chris Wallace, Cheney said “There’s no question that was his responsibility and I think he handled it well,” before adding, “I give him high marks for making that decision.”
