Colbert Defends Kimmel’s Right to Talk Politics by Reminding Us of a Certain Reality TV Star
Over the past few days, late-night television host Jimmy Kimmel has inserted himself directly into the health care debate by going after the GOP’s latest attempt to repeal Obamacare: the Graham-Cassidy bill. His passionate monologues on the topic have led several conservative politicians, pundits and outlets to smack Kimmel for only being a lowly comedian and not having the necessary gravitas to speak on health care reform.
One of Kimmel’s talk show rivals noticed there was a bit of hypocrisy afoot with that line of thinking and took to Twitter last night to come to Kimmel’s defense. And also reminded us of what the current leader of the free world’s occupations were before jumping into the White House.
Please @JimmyKimmel – stay out of politics. Leave the important stuff to reality TV stars with a knack for bankrupting casinos.

Obviously, Stephen Colbert is referring to President Donald Trump’s lengthy stint as host of the reality TV show The Apprentice, as well as Trump’s businesses declaring bankruptcy six times.
