Maybe a lawyer for the President of the United States should just stop spouting off.
Since joining the Trump legal team, Rudy Giuliani has made a number of eyebrow-raising comments only to scramble to walk them back later.
Today’s latest example concerns the rather stunning comments Giuliani made about potential pardons, telling the New York Daily News, “When the whole thing is over, things might get cleaned up with some presidential pardons.”
Giuliani has now sent two different responses to two different reporters to clarify these comments:
Rudy Giuliani earlier today told @NYDailyNews that the Mueller investigation “might get cleaned up” with presidential pardons.
In a text message just now, he said of whether Trump would pardon his associates: “No he will not do it, based on my advice and all our team."

Giuliani tells me he advised POTUS not to pardon anyone before Mueller probe ends & POTUS agrees. But pardons possible *after* Mueller probe
