Go Ahead and Guess Which GOP Candidate Topped Poll About Who Can Best Handle Economy
You know already, don’t you?
I mean, with the way I’m phrasing this, you’ve probably deciphered already which Republican presidential candidate topped a new CNN/WMUR New Hampshire poll about who voters believe could do the best job handling the economy.
Okay, yeah, it’s Donald Trump.
Now, just like a previous poll, Trump overall is in second place to Jeb Bush (also in second place for people’s second pick if their first pick wasn’t running). But Trump also has the highest unfavorable percentage of any of the other candidates on the list, as well as topping the heap with the question “Which of the candidates who are either running or considering running for the Republican nomination would you NOT vote for under any circumstance?”
But Trump tops the list of candidates when asked who the strongest leader is––topping Bush by two percentage points––and, amazingly, leaves every single other candidate in the dust on the question “Which Republican candidate do you think can best handle the economy?”
Trump gets 29 percent. After him is “don’t know” with 17 percent and Jeb Bush with 13 percent.
He also tops the list of candidates on the question of who’d do the best job on trade.
