Jennifer Lawrence is Praying for ‘Sanity and Compassion to Return to the White House’
Lots of people- including many celebrities- have spoken out against President Donald Trump‘s executive order that has restricted citizens of seven predominately Muslim countries from coming to the United States. Last night’s SAG Awards were full of speeches from actors including Ashton Kutcher, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Mahershala Ali who mentioned either Trump or some of his recent policies.
Jennifer Lawrence has now taken to Facebook to share her thoughts. In a short, but powerful post, the actress says that her heart is “broken” and that she is praying for “sanity and compassion to return to the White House.”
The comments section of the post is filled with sentiments from both sides. One commenter says “Thank you” and writes “We are peace loving people.” Another said, “I pray that intelligence and logic will one day win out in Hollywood, but I won’t hold my breath.”
