Votes are still being tallied in the Israeli prime minister race, but now that incumbent PM Benjamin Netanyahu has declared victory, several of his political allies — Republican in Congress — are tweeting congratulatory messages at him:

— Rep. Jeff Duncan (@RepJeffDuncan) March 17, 2015
— Mark Kirk (@SenatorKirk) March 17, 2015
Congratulations to PM @Netanyahu on his victory today. He is a strong leader and great friend to the United States.
— Senator Thom Tillis (@SenThomTillis) March 17, 2015
And don’t forget Sean Hannity:
@netanyahu The world is safer with this election victory.

As of 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday, the AP is giving Netanyahu a “slight edge” in the race but reported that a victory by his Likud Party is “still not guaranteed.” The final results of the election likely won’t be known for several days and even then it will be up to Netanyahu and his more moderate opponent Isaac Herzog to put together parliamentary coalitions to determine who will serve as prime minister moving forward.
