Reince Priebus Interviewed Friday By Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Team in Russia Probe

The Robert Mueller probe is getting closer to the top of the White House pyramid.

On Friday, according to Politico, former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus was interviewed by Mueller‘s investigative team. Preibus’s lawyer, William Burck, said in a brief statement published by the website that his client was fully cooperative.

“Mr. Priebus was voluntarily interviewed by Special Counsel Mueller’s team today,” Burck said. “He was happy to answer all of their questions.”

Priebus has remained largely under the radar since his July 28 ouster as President Donald Trump’s Chief of Staff. According to Politico, Trump allies are reportedly worried about Priebus as Mueller continues his probe — given that he was often the subject of harsh criticism from Trump.

Other administration figures who are expected to be called in by Mueller’s team, according to Politico, include former Press Secretary Sean Spicer and current Communications Director Hope Hicks.
