The Week’s Top 25 TV Pundits By Airtime
10. Dick Vitale – 184 On-Air Mentions

Thanks to the end of March Madness, Vitale was all over the tube talking about the annual basketball extravaganza. That’s right, nice, wholesome basketball. Nothing like that filthy collection of perverts that is golf.
9. Laila Ali – 250 On-Air Mentions

The former women’s boxing champ used the magic of satellites to appear on nearly every local morning show in the world on Wednesday to share some tips on how to keep your heart healthy. We’d rather believe, though, that she ran from her appearances in New York to those in Florida and then to Kentucky as training for a return to the ring. Of course, if she actually did that, her heart probably would have given up on her…very, very ironically.
8. Eliot Spitzer – 292 On-Air Mentions

The former governor was all over the TV last week and, this time, it wasn’t just late night jokes (although there were a few of those). In fact, most of his mentions had to do with the possibility of him returning to politics. And, keep in mind, that the days we’re looking at for this list don’t even include the day where he got to be an actual anchor on MSNBC! Mr. Spitzer, we salute you. The bar of things you can get caught doing and still maintain a respectable career has been forever raised.
7. Donny Deutsch – 339 On-Air Mentions

Deutsch made the rounds of every show from Today to Ellen Degeneres on Thursday to talk about that creepy Tiger Woods Nike ad. For those keeping score, that makes him the third person to get on our list with the help of Mr. Woods. We don’t really have much to say about that fact ’cause it’s just kind of sad. Remember when he was just a teenage golf phenom?
6. Newt Gingrich – 340 On-Air Mentions

Recently, The Newt (which is much more fun to write than “Mr. Gingrich) has been all over Fox News. Of course, that wasn’t enough for The Newt! He managed to make his way onto a bunch of other networks last week when his claim that Obama was “the most radical president in American history” made headlines. The best mention came from Jimmy Fallon who questioned whether or not The Newt meant “radical” in the same way a Ninja Turtle would.
