WATCH LIVE: President Trump Delivers Joint Statement With South Korean President Moon Jae-in

With tensions continuing to rise with North Korea, President Donald Trump and South Korean President Moon Jae-in are set to deliver a joint statement today at 11:15 AM ET.

President Moon arrived at the White House yesterday to huddle with POTUS over potential areas of disagreement with how to deal with issues surrounding South Korea’s northern neighbor. As The Hill noted, Moon favors a “less confrontational approach” with North Korea as they’ve ramped up their ballistic missile tests. Meanwhile, the White House wants to push for more sanctions and present the possibility of military intervention.

Yesterday, the Trump administration announced additional sanctions related to North Korea, hitting a Chinese bank, Chinese company and two Chinese citizens in an effort to cut financing to the reclusive nuclear power.

Besides North Korea, the two leaders were also expected to discuss trade policy during their meetings this week, with Trump looking to address America’s trade imbalance with South Korea.
