President Donald Trump will hold a ceremony at the White House today where he will posthumously award the Medal of Honor to Garlin M. Conner. The event will begin at 3:30 p.m. EDT.
Connor was a First Lieutenant in World War II who was highly decorated over the course of his service. During his career, he was honored with four Silver Stars, three Purple Hearts, and the Distinguished Service Cross among other awards.
Connor’s widow and family members will receive the medal on his behalf.
It’s unclear if Trump will take questions during this event. If so, it’s possible he’ll be asked about the Supreme Court ruling, his border policy, and America’s brewing trade wars.
