Lindsey Graham Offers Donald Trump Jr. Legal Advice: Ignore Senate Subpoena and ‘Call It a Day’
Sen. Lindsey Graham offered Donald Trump Jr. a bit of legal advice on Fox News Sunday morning.
He suggested the First Son ignore a subpoena from his Republican colleague in the Senate and “call it a day.”
Graham’s remarks were made during a discussion with Maria Bartiromo.
“What is this subpoena of Trump Jr. coming out of your colleagues and the Senate Intel Committee?” Bartiromo asked.
“As I understand it, the subpoena relates to what Michael Cohen said about some meetings and about the Trump Tower in Russia,” Graham replied.
Then after noting Sen. Richard Burr is a very good friend but he’s “trying hard to be bipartisan,” he added: “Anything based on what Michael Cohen said is worthless testimony. Michael Cohen is a worthless witness.”
Finally, turning to Trump Jr, Graham advised he stay home.
“If I were Donald Trump Jr.’s lawyer, I would tell him, you don’t need to go back into this environment anymore,” Graham stressed. “You’ve been there for hours and hours and nothing being alleged here changes the outcome of the Mueller investigation.”
The senator then concluded, “I would call it a day.”
