Roger Stone Tells Chris Cuomo No Person Can ‘Honestly Testify’ He Had Direct Contact With Julian Assange

On Friday night, CNN’s Chris Cuomo had on Roger Stone to talk about reports that he had a direct connection to Wikileaks’ Julian Assange.

As usual, Stone gave a colorful response.

When asked about an email that suggested Assange had insider information about Wikileaks October Surprise, Stone said that the email was taken “out of context!”

He continued on by denying that there is anyone out there who can testify he had contact with the Wikileaks founder.

“Assange himself has said Stone is a clever spinmeister,” Stone said, referring to himself in the third person. “But we’ve never had any contacts with him. There is no evidence or person who can honestly testify that I had any direct communications with Wikileaks or Julian Assange other than those that were disclosed in a benign direct message to the House Intelligence Committee, leaked to the Atlantic Magazine who then edited them before they reported them.”
