On Wednesday, President Obama went Christmas shopping for his daughter’s presents at a Best Buy store in Alexandria, Virginia and found himself in a unique conundrum: he wasn’t sure if his credit card would still be accepted.

“Let’s see if my credit card still works!” Obama exclaimed. “It will be really embarrassing if it doesn’t go through.”

Despite the initial drama, Obama’s card did go through and Christmas was saved.

Way to run the Christmas surprise.

But it’s nice to see Tommy Christopher got work at a Best Buy to supplement his meager income from this site.

While I may not agree with a lot of his policies, as an American that’s still my President. And it may sound old fashioned or geeky, but I still think there’s an inherent American niceness to seeing a President out during the holidays acting just like this — shaking hands, smiling and making jokes with people, and just trying to be a normal person as he does a little shopping for his wife or kids.

So, what the heck — it’s Christmas time.
No reason why we can put all the partisan fighting aside a little bit.
If nothing else, it can resume all over again on January 2.
Till then, here’s hoping everyone on BOTH sides of the aisle can enjoy the next week or so.

Obama Has a mental illness that markedly interferes with
his person’s capacity to meet life’s everyday demands. In a specific
sense, I am referring to his thought disorder in which reality
testing is grossly impaired. His Symptoms can include seeing,
    hearing, smelling, or tasting things that are not there; paranoia;
and delusional thoughts. Depending on the condition underlying the
psychotic symptoms, symptoms may be constant or they may come and go.
Psychosis can occur as a result of brain injury or disease, and is
    seen particularly in schizophrenia
and bipolar disorders. Psychotic symptoms can occur as a result of
drug use, but this is not true psychosis. Diagnosis is by observation
    and interview.

    Let me guess Republicans.

If he buys a computer game, it shows that he and his family are lazy.
If he buys a movie, he’s a big hollywood liberal.
If he buys a book, he’s too old fashioned.
If he buys a toy, he must be simple-minded.
If he buys clothing, he must be a closet Muslim.
If he buys a board game, he must want to ship all our jobs to China.
And if he doesn’t buy anything, he’s uncharitable.

Ok so you’ve got your game plan!  Now just wait and see what he buys…

    Sounds like YOU are projecting.

He’s good with spending your money – note the government issue credit card. He should pay with his own money. Doesn’t anyone think this bit of grandstanding is a little too contrived? Like Michele in Target buying paper towels, I mean, come on man this is the height of absurdity.

    That’s the Christmas spirit. Bravo!

And for the record I am willing to extend Christmas greetings to George and Laura Bush as well.

These two couples represent what’s good in people and they both have wonderful children by all accounts. Bush and Obama have made mistakes and should not escape fair criticism.

But as LA_screenwriter pleaded, “Can’t we give the ugliness a brief rest during the holidays?”

Merry Christmas to all — even you Bill O’Reilly and Ed Schultz.
