The Wicked Witch? FNC’s Mike Gallagher Suggests Throwing Water On Nancy Pelosi

video

Democratic Blue Dog Rep. Bobby Bright recently made an offhand remark during an appearance in Alabama after he was reportedly asked whether he would support Nancy Pelosi as House speaker if reelected. Bright joked that in the coming months Pelosi “could fall ill and die.” During an appearance with Megyn Kelly to discuss the coming midterms, conservative radio host Mike Gallagher chided Bright for “crossing the line,” but then suggested “throwing a bucket of water on her and see what happens.” Wow.

After the “joke” was made, Kelly appeared to be somewhat shocked, though amused, by Gallagher’s comments. With mouth agape, Kelly could only muster the word “Now!” as if to lightly admonish Gallagher for the rather sophomoric joke.

    Nancy Pelosi just tweeted.

    “pfff,astroturf”

    Scoundrel!

  • notsofast

NP and that bigot Helen Thomas- that would be a great meltdown!

    In a related story…

When Nancy Pelosi heard of Mike Gallagher’s remarks she immediately called him on the phone, and was quoted as telling him…

“I’ll get you, My Pretty….and your little dog too!”

Margaret Hamilton was much better looking.

  • libra blue

I like that! For God’s sake don’t give her the Ruby Slippers!

I despise most of what Pelosi is doing, but inciting violence, even in jest, is going to far. I don’t wish ill against Pelosi, I just wish she felt the same way about me.

  • Big Eddie

It’s not like he wanted a house to fall on her .

  • Big_F-ing_Deal

If someone threw water on Nancy Pelosi she could just stand next to John Boehner and the radiation would dry her off..

  • kit9

Oh, man, come on. Mediaite is so over dramatic. What gallagher said is hilarious! And, certainly non violent. The water, though, unlikely to cause her to actually melt(though I wouldn’t completely rule it out) could remove some of her makeup-ultimately making it look like she’s melting*shudder*

Is this news or commentary? At FOX, the line is ill-defined.

The typical violent nature of conservatives Nancy Pelosi will need extra security due to the violent militias who listen to Fox News each and every day. Lucky for tax payers conservative militias hate the government as consequence I would surmised they will not accept a lawyer provided by the government. Correction conservative gun wielding militias do accept attorneys provided by the government. The conservative adage states “We hate the government we hate the government oh wait we need the government.”

Just make sure the water is Perrier. She is a leftist, after all.

  • notsofast

Hey, even the Dems want NP gone:

“U.S. Congressman Bobby Bright, the first-term Democrat and former mayor of Montgomery, was heard having a little fun at U.S. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s expense during his recent participation in the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce’s Eggs and Issues.

Bright, who is facing a battle against Montgomery City Councilwoman Martha Roby this fall, joked that Pelosi might lose her own election, decide not to run for the speaker’s job or otherwise not be available.

He suggested, jokingly he insisted to his audience, that Pelosi could fall ill and die in coming months. That remark drew laughter from the crowd.”

  • stoogedudes

Who cares what Gallagher said? It really wasn’t near as bad as what Bright said.

Is it getting to the point where we can joke about people we disagree with dying?

    Really?

All the jokes were funny. The biggest joke is Coby Hall thought this was serious. LOL.

I thought Nanny Pelosi was one of the flying monkeys.

RRK was great in the movie, I liked the part when he asked for the brain. Yes I used that joke before and it is still funny.
Even though RRK liked the jokes I gave him a thumbs down anyway.
We are still waiting to provide us with a lie reported on Fox News yesterday.

for what Bright said, he doesnt deserve re-election. he’s a goner.

Uh, oh, notsofast. You mentioned that Wright said “God damn America.” Don’t you know it’s politically incorrect to ever quote anything embarrassing coming from the left? Not only are you a racist, but you’re forcing the King to say ‘Giddyup’ again.

    I think that’s MichelleF’s 11 comandment.

But see, quoting one person proves ALL libs think that way. Just ask ImJustThatDamnAwful!

I’m not a Gallagher fan. He has been hosting a local talk radio here in Dallas for several years. Once – during the 2008 campaign – I heard him mock Mitt Romney’s religion by saying he wore “magic underwear”, referring to the undergarments worn by some Mormons. Another time he said the Dallas school district should review its list of employees, single out the ones who had Hispanic names, and check their immigration status (my recollection is that the topic had something to do with school district salaries or benefits and nothing to do with immigration). The final straw for me was when a local suburb banned the use of cell phones while driving in a school zone. For some reason, Gallagher was so outraged that he took his car out to that suburb one morning and broadcast from his cell phone while driving all over the school zone. I didn’t listen to him after that. He’s a douche.

That said, his comment about Pelosi today was kind of funny.

I love the subject of embarassing quotes:

Glenn Beck: “You know, it took me about a year to start hating the 9/11 victims’ families. It took me about a year. Um, and I had such compassion for them and I really, you know, I wanted to help them, and I was behind — let’s give them money, let’s get them started, and all of this stuff. And I really didn’t — all the 3,000 victims’ families, I don’t hate all of them, I hate about, probably about ten of them. But when I see 9/11 victim family, you know, on television, or whatever, I’m just like, ‘Oh, shut up.’ I’m so sick of them. Because they’re always complaining. And we did our best for them.”

“But the second thought I had when I saw these people and they had to shut down the Astrodome and lock it down, I thought: I didn’t think I could hate victims faster than the 9-11 victims.”

  • The Real Royal King

    notsofast said:

    Actually, that’s MichelleF’s 13th Commandment.

Her 11th Commandment is “Thou shall not drink coffee.”

Her 12th Commandment is “Take, eat these Cheetos.”

So a democrat makes a joke about Pelosi being dead, and a radio host makes a comment about her melting, and Colby says “WOW” about the radio host and excuses the democrat’s comment?

Is that the essence of this article?

    Really?

    Really?

    Really?

FNC’s Mike Gallagher? Since when does a contributor get such a headline? Oh never mind, he is a conservative, and all things conservative get trashed here on mediaiate.

    Good job Colby (NOT).

Thanks for that link, I’d like to do some research on the context. When “googled” every single reference to that quote is a website with an ax to grind which leads me to believe if it were valid (not taken waaay the frick out of context) there would be at least ONE story on the web by a mainstream media source. Also common sense dictates the big three networks, all major print (like NYT) and especially MSNBC along with 9/11 survivors would have made such a huge deal of it people like me (that don’t follow lefty blogs) would have been well aware of it….

I’ll check out the transcript of the radio show in a few hours….

    Sounds like shenanigans to me.

  • puck30

Democratic Rep. Bobby Bright (Ala.) on Wednesday ducked a question on whether or not he would vote for Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) by joking that she “might even get sick and die.”

Rep. Bobby Bright should change his party to an (R). Then we would see this story all over the place no doubt.

Mike Gallagher use to own the mid-mornings on talk radio, any questions why he’s pretty much lost all of his stations and been regulated to the night time airwaves mostly on delay?

This is also my problem with FNC, they bring Gallagher on but they don’t bring on Jerry Doyle. Why is that?
