Doris Kearns Goodwin: It Doesn’t Work for the Democrats to ‘Just Be Anti-Trump’

Historian Doris Kearns Goodwin said on Meet the Press this morning that the Democrats need to “analyze honestly” why they lost and not just let being anti-Trump define them.

Goodwin said the Democrats have to “become a reverse tea party” and figure out why they lost so badly, without focusing too much on just being anti-Trump.

“It didn’t work in the campaign to just be anti-Trump,” she concluded. “It’s not gonna work in the opposition either.”
