People have been buzzing about the guy who won a four-way primary race in Missouri and is now the GOP gubernatorial nominee, so it’s about time you got acquainted with him.
This is Eric Greitens in one of his primary ads:
A man with a the sort of voice and speaking pattern you’d associate with the tough sheriff in a Western starts the 30-second spot by announcing that President Barack Obama has a “Democrat machine” that Greitens wants to stand up to and then, interestingly, Greitens starts shooting. (You shouldn’t be shocked by the rounds he fires off because this is the same guy who sold “ISIS hunting permits” to raise campaign funds in June.)
Listed at the bottom of the screen are the things Greitens wants to focus on if elected governor. Among them are “politics as usual” and “protect life.” Questionable grammar aside, the ad certainly sends a powerful message, but it may be open to interpretation.
So, what about you? What is the message you take away from “Big Guns”?
