Watch Rep. Keith Ellison Perform A Cringeworthy Trump Roast Song in a Blonde Wig
Of all the roasts of President Donald Trump, this one might be the most awkward.
At this year’s MinnRoast, an event where Minnesota politicians and press gather and poke fun at each other (because Minnesota), Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) put on a blonde wig, picked up an acoustic guitar, and sang to Russian President Vladimir Putin, special counsel Robert Mueller, and adult film star Stormy Daniels, among others, to the tune of Guantanamera. He was accompanied on drums by Minneapolis City Council Member Jeremiah Ellison, Keith’s son.
“If I want to be called a stable genius, I just call my best friend Vlad Putin,” Ellison sang. “But there was no collusion, I just won the vote fair and square, I didn’t buy the election, I just bought off my latest affair.”
“You can stop asking about covfefe, that’s just Russian for porn,” he later sang.
He also poked fun at former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty (R), who is running for another term this year.
“Now there is one guy I can’t stand, even though he voted for me. He called me unhinged and unfit. Which is it, Tim Pawlenty?” Ellison sang.
