WikiLeaks Reminds Trump of How Much He Loved Them Before Bringing Charges Against Assange

As the U.S. government reportedly prepares to seek the arrest of Julian Assange, WikiLeaks seemed to troll President Donald Trump with a little reminder of the times where he sang their praises.

During the 2016 election, Trump proclaimed “I love WikiLeaks” and other complimentary statements as America got closer and closer to Election Day. At the time, Trump was celebrating how the organization dumped troves of documents with politically-damaging information about Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee.

WikiLeaks apparently remembers that, and they’re making sure everyone else does too:

WikiLeaks received major attention last month after they released a great deal of information about the CIA’s hacking and espionage programs. CIA director Mike Pompeo has denounced WikiLeaks as “a non-state, hostile intelligence service,” and the government is reportedly going to take action against them for publishing the documents leaked by Chelsea Manning back in 2010.
