CNN’s John Berman: I Talked to People About Comey Hearing and ‘Not a Single Mind Was Changed’

CNN tonight examined the differing media reactions to the James Comey hearing, with anchor John Berman concluding that it doesn’t seem like that many minds were changed.

Brian Stelter examined how pretty much everyone is declaring victory after Comey’s testimony––including pro-Trump faces like Sean Hannity and Corey Lewandowski.

After his report aired, Berman said that he was at an event last night where people wanted to talk about Comey, and the general gist he got was that “not a single mind was changed by it.”

Berman then tried to get both Maria Cardona and Jeff Lord to concede points that they weren’t exactly rooting for.

Lord brought up the Hillary Clinton email case and said at one point, “The story is that President Obama could well be accused of obstruction of justice.”

Stelter suggested that maybe he’s focusing on that angle “because it’s more convenient and more comfortable,” while “folks like Maria only want to talk about Trump.”
