Trump Considers Pardon for Martha Stewart, Commutation for Rod Blagojevich

Donald Trump already announced today that he’s pardoning conservative provocateur Dinesh D’Souza, and now, it looks like he’s on a roll.

During his flight to Texas, the president spoke to the press pool on Air Force One and said he was thinking about pardoning Martha Stewart and commuting the sentence of former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich‘s sentence. According to transcripts, POTUS said the penalties against Blagojevich are “really unfair,” and Stewart was “harshly and unfairly treated.”

Blagojevich was removed from office in 2008 and convicted for corruption after he tried to sell Barack Obama’s Senate seat after he was elected president. As for Stewart, she was convicted in 2004 for obstruction, securities fraud, and lying to federal investigators after being charged with insider trading.

Interestingly enough, Stewart and Blagojevich both have connections to Trump’s old reality show The Apprentice. Blagojevich was a contestant on the show during a season of Celebrity Apprentice.

And Stewart hosted her own version of Trump’s show.

Still no word on Alice Johnson, the lady Kim Kardashian urged Trump to pardon yesterday when they met at the White House.
