Rush Limbaugh: They Had To Send The First Lady To Target To Buy Lysol™ ?

Michelle Obama’s back in the news and you know what that means: Time to get Rush Limbaugh’s opinion!

This time the First Lady made headlines due to a photo of her shopping incognito at a Target. And, like everything else related to the woman he calls “Moo-chelle,” Limbaugh found reason to be annoyed.

Here are some highlights:

Limbaugh can somehow magically see into the contents of the First Lady’s shopping bag and can tell she’s buying Lysol.
Limbaugh very much doesn’t want his listeners to think he has ever deigned to buy Lysol.
Limbaugh only knows what Lysol is because he’s seen it under the sink at friends’ houses.

All that being said, there is one thing I agree with Limbaugh on. The likelihood of an AP photographer just happening to be at the Target and have his camera ready is pretty darn unlikely.

time that he permanently lost his hearing. He now has a cochlear
implant.

Rush was once detained for more than three hours at the Palm Beach
Airport after officials found a bottle of Viagra in his possession with
someone else’s name on it. He was going on vacation with a bottle of
Viagra. He is a serial philanderer, has married and divorced multiple
times.

He is not very well educated (never could finish college, barely
managed to clear High School). According to his mother, “he flunked
everything”. He is a draft-dodging chicken-hawk. He is also quite
obese.

The gullible morons who listen to his rants proudly call themselves
“ditto-heads”. Why is this man a conservative hero? Is it his racist
rants that appeal to the Conservatives/Republicans/Tea Baggers?

As someone who loves Target, I don’t blame the FLOTUS for wanting to go, if that’s all it was. But, the fact that the outing was tipped off to the WH photographer, and it was a controlled media event makes it obvious what the reason was. But it’s not the worst thing in the world.

If you want to go to Target, go. But to make it a photo-op is calculated. She manages to go clothes shopping and out to restaurants without making the outings photo-ops…

I asked AP spokesman Paul Colford how AP knew to be at the Target — miles from the White House — and he replied, “Charlie Dharapak is a well-wired AP White House photographer with good sources.”

I take from that answer there was some kind of a tip.President Obama and Michelle carefully manage their images. Almost every photo you see of them has been staged in some way —from the people around them to the scenery in the background.

The media purposely withheld valuable information from voters like the warrantless wiretapping and openly pushed misinformation (through Judith Miller and others) to voters about Iraq – and that was the freaking New York Times – the supposed queen of the “Liberal” media.

Bush lost his pass mostly because of general hubris, the lack of a competent federal response to Hurricane Katrina, the lack of substantial amounts of WMD’s being found, the coming to light of how the Bush Administration manipulated the media in the lead up to the War in Iraq. It just started to pile up. I suppose conservatives just wish none of that was reported.

When I had a job, I’m 80 and retired, I even shopped at Macys and Bloomingdales, but I never had so much fun shopping anywhere than I did shopping at Target. My kids give me Target gift cards for every occasion cause they know how much enjoyment it is for me to shop at Target. The First Lady is a warm and genuine person. Someone any person would want to emulate. She doesn’t put on airs or pretend to be something she’s not. She’s just herself and in a world of phonies, I find that refreshing. Here is a woman who loves her husband and children and tries to do good things for others. I salute her.

First of all, Michelle was not on AF1 when she went to Oregon. That is a blatant lie. AF1 is the designation for an Air Force aircraft carrying the President – not the first lady (and it was a C-40 not the VC-25 which the President usually flies on).

Secondly, you cannot find where any personal expenses were ever charged to the taxpayer for that trip of the Vail trip. None. When you find a credible source making such a claim, please provide the link so that we may examine it. I won’t be waiting.

Everyone, please do NOT get drawn into the RACISM charge here.

What’s at issue is whether or not this was an IMPROMPTU photo of the first lady on a shopping trip to Target. I, for one, think that there is NO WAY she shops there (she would have others doing that for her) and also that there is NO WAY the paparazzi wasn’t notified in advance.

Just my opinion.

This is NOT the picture that shows the lysol. There is another picture showing Lysol wipes, the top of a Febreez spray and some linens. Limbaugh didn’t use some super power to look through her bags. Someone didn’t have all the facts in this article. And, who cares what she is buying? Maybe she just wants to clean..dunno.

It should not be a big deal to call Obama “Obama” when everyone called Bush “Bush” and Clinton “Clinton”. For the record, I have respect for the office of President of the United States, but not for the man currently holding the position. I just don’t agree with his policies.

Hmmmm, maybe it’s because there are CLEANING CREWS that clean the white house. These folks probably have to use very specific cleaning supplies that have gone through strict security, not purchased at Target by ANYONE.

Simply being black (or half black) alone cannot make someone less racist (or least racist as you put it). To believe that would be, well, RACIST!!

I have never seen more race or class warfare being unleashed by any U.S. President.

Ol’ Rushy used to have a huge house right here in South Pasadena, California, close to where I live. People were always protesting in front of that house until he finally sold it and moved to Palm Beach, Florida.
