MSNBC’s Cenk Uygur Calls Obama’s New Poll Numbers ‘Disastrous’

MSNBC’s Cenk Uygur took a look at two new polls rating the public’s view on President Barack Obama and noted, rather emphatically, that they were “disastrous.”

One poll shared that the President’s current disapproval rating stands at 48%, and the second showed that half of those polled believe Obama does not “deserve” a second term in the White House.

While it’s not too surprising to see that the general public would be upset with the President at a time when the country is entering a new military conflict, Uygur and his guest (who pointed out that a recent Gallup poll shows opposite results), discussed how President Obama’s numbers have remained more or less within the same range, barring a bump when the President accomplished several of his goals during Congress’ lame duck session at the end of 2010. Also worth noting: People don’t see jobs and they don’t see a boost in the economy, which usually manifests itself as disapproval over how the country is being run.
