House of Cards Star Suggests Obama for Guest Role

The White House Correspondents Dinner is tonight, which means that plenty of celebrities are in our nation’s capital this weekend, hobnobbing with politicians and reporters. Two shows in particular have become all the rage in Washington––Scandal and House of Cards––which means, of course, the stars of those shows are basically getting the royal treatment this weekend. A number of House of Cards cast members attended a reception Friday night hosted by Capitol File magazine, and Robin Wright (who plays Claire Underwood) was asked who she’d like to guest on the show in the future.

Her answer: “Maybe Obama. I’m going to ask Obama tomorrow night if he’ll come and do a guest spot.”

President Obama has appeared on a number of late night talk shows, but he’s never cameoed on a scripted TV show before. Michelle Obama, on the other hand, has cameoed on shows like iCarly and Parks and Recreation.

But House of Cards is about horrible politicians whose sole goal is to attain influence and political power, so the president might want to stay away from that one…
