REPORT: Megyn Kelly Adds Ailes-Centric Chapter to Forthcoming Book
As we told you in February, Fox News Channel’s Megyn Kelly has a book in the works. The HarperCollins-published work will be titled Settle for More and is dropping on November 15. Here and there, we’ve gotten details about what will be inside of the book, but today, there was a new revelation: Roger Ailes will feature prominently in one of the chapters.
Kelly — who retained her first non-Fox publicist in September, signaling big, independent moves are in the works — has never spoken publicly about reports that she essentially put the nail in the coffin of Ailes’ Fox career by reporting his sexual harassment of her to internal investigators. Numerous Fox women came forward with stories of harassment by Ailes, who was eventually kicked out of the network he built and presided over, but if there is truth to the reports that Kelly did, too, she did it in a much less public way.
According to Vanity Fair, she added the entire chapter about Ailes on her own and it will address those reports and more.
VF‘s contributing editor, Sarah Ellison, said this on-stage during the magazine’s New Establishment Summit yesterday:
Nobody knew if she was really going to address this, but she’s added a chapter to her book.
Will it include details of the alleged harassment or will it just detail Ailes’ ouster and her role in speaking to the lawyers investigating it? We will know on November 15!
