Brian Kilmeade Goes Off on Sarah Sanders Over Syria: Trump Just ‘Refounded ISIS’ By Leaving

Brian Kilmeade grilled Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Friday by saying President Trump essentially “refounded ISIS” if he pulls the U.S. military out of Syria.

The White House press secretary gave an interview to Fox & Friends, during which, she addressed the possibility of a government shutdown while playing down the clear disagreements between Trump and outgoing Defense Secretary James Mattis. Kilmeade blasted Trump for abandoning America’s Kurdish allies with the Syria withdrawal earlier in the show, and when he got to ask Sanders about this, he held nothing back.

“He is giving Russia a big win. Vladimir Putin praised him. He also is doing exactly what he criticized President Obama for doing. He said President Obama is the founder of ISIS. He just refounded ISIS because they have 30,000 men there and they are already striking back with our would-be evacuation. The president is really on the griddle with this.”

Sanders pushed back on that notion, saying “the idea that the president has had anything to do with helping ISIS reemerge is absolutely outrageous.”

Kilmeade wouldn’t let her off the hook though, saying “leaving is helping” and that “the word on the ground is different” from the administration’s assessment of ISIS’ current state.
