During his trip to Germany, President Obama is set to speak at Brandenburg Gate in Berlin on Wednesday. His remarks come 50 years after President John F. Kennedy delivered his famous “Ich bin ein Berliner” speech there, expressing solidarity.
In the speech, Obama is expected to “say he wants to go beyond reductions outlined in the New START treaty, seeking an additional one-third cut in the number of deployed strategic nuclear warheads in the U.S. arsenal, if the Russians agree to do the same.”
