If you watched Lawrence O’Donnell on The Last Word Wednesday night, you may have noticed that he and author Richard Wolffe devoted some chunk of time to discussing radio host Rush Limbaugh’s advice for Speaker John Boehner.

John Boehner has been taking “advice” from someone that has been flagrantly violating America’s treason laws on a regular basis? The Founding Fathers would be so disappointed in the current Speaker of their House of Representatives.

I think there is plenty of Freudian projection on both sides.

On the other hand, some of it is not Freudian. It is accurate observation. And, some of it, like my comment that started this exchange, is strong opinion with a bit of exaggeration. I do see Limbaugh as an opinionated talking head who is much richer for playing with people’s emotions, but would be much poorer if he dealt in boring facts. Who would listen to that for long? 

Just consider the “criticism” a carry over from the Bush administration. After all, Obama has continued many of Bush’s policies.

Community Organizer. Big deal. So what else has he done with his life before he became president?  Pretty much nothing. Unless you count voting “present”.

Years ago Limbaugh openly said he was just entertainment and shouldn’t be taken seriously. On his next colonoscopy they’ll find his own head.

I have heard many forms of racism but this is a new all time low and disgusting.  I cannot believe any American with any brains and any knowledge of etiquette could ever stoop so los.  I mean this guy put his racism right out there for all the world to see.  First both comments were out of filthy mouths and both said far more about the commenter than about our President.  It is obvious both of these guys are insanely jealous of our President.  First I want to vomit and then I realize that the poor things just need our sympathy.  Obviously their parents failed to teach them to be the least bit classy in their comments and ot at least dress up their racism so it is not so painfully obvious.  Still, they so disgustingly pratte right on with their filthy talk.  Poor, uncouth, uneducated things!..  

Actually she shows great intellectual insight.  Certainly she does not stoop to gutter snipe language to make her point.  As my mother taught me, only the intellectually weak person stoops to this sort of disgusting, low-life language.  Bless her heart, that insistence of hers has always been such a good thing for me to observe.  Gutter language would get me a good reprimand and a big spanking right on the spot.  When I grew older, just a look from my mom molded my behavior.  I am forever grateful to her.  I actually feel very sad about Rush’s lack of proper upbringing that has ended him in these disgusting situations.  Poor, poor thing.  Like my friend’s grandfather used to say, “”he didn’t have any ‘fetchin’ up!”

It”s interesting how Rush, who has never held elective office, has so much power over the party. Darryl Issa, the chairman of the House Government Oversight Committee, said at one point that he could see compromising on some issues. Well, that didn’t go over too well with Rush. After trashing Issa on his radio show, Issa, essentially, caved and apologized. Why would Issa be beholding to Rush for his poltical career. Issa has a net worth of about $250 million. Why does he let Rush push him around or for that matter many conservatives. Why are they so afraid of him. Just wondering.
