‘Whoa, Slow Your Roll There, Peach Pit!’ Sally Kohn, Gingrich Clash over Obama Scandal Apologies

A chief conservative complaint about the coverage of “BridgeGate” is that the media hasn’t held President Obama to the same standard on any of the scandals that have plagued his administration, and on Crossfire Tuesday night, Newt Gingrich cited Chris Christie‘s apology at his State of the State address to hit Obama for not offering similar apologies. Guest host Sally Kohn did not let that go without a fight, saying, “Whoa, you’ve gotta slow your roll there, peach pit!”

She proceeded to read off a number of apologies Obama gave for issues like the IRS scandal and people losing their health insurance plans. Donna Brazile jumped in to note that some IRS officials were actually forced out in the wake of that scandal.

Former Maryland governor Bob Ehrlich was not impressed, mocking the “Washington knows best” mentality of Obamacare defenders. Kohn tried to jump back to Christie, swiping at the “false equivalencies” of the right, but Ehrlich insisted that Obama was just plain negligent about the consequences of Obamacare.
