GOP Rep on Fox: ISIS Poses ‘Existential Threat’ to U.S., But So Might Obama

In an interview with Fox News’ On the Record, Republican Pennsylvania Congressman Scott Perry wondered whether or not the administration of President Barack Obama posed an “existential threat” to the United States.

Perry told Greta Van Susteran that the Obama administration’s policy of deliberately not checking the social media posts of visa applicants “goes beyond incompetence. When you find out they missed it, you think, ‘Well, how did that happen?'”

“…You wonder if the existential threat is just ISIS or Islamists,” he said. “Or is it also an administration that for political narrative puts policy and political correctness above the national security of the nation?”

Perry accused the president of placing the rights of potential jihadists above the safety of the American people. “You wonder what’s in that mindset that allows for this to happen to America,” he said.
